Pakistan vows retaliation after India launches strikes in wake of Kashmir massacre

India’s precision strikes hit nine locations across Pakistan-administered Kashmir and Punjab, including Bahawalpur and Muridke. While India asserted that only terrorist camps were targeted, Pakistan reported that civilian sites, including mosques and educational institutions, were struck, resulting in 31 civilian deaths and 46 injuries.

In response, Pakistan claimed to have downed five Indian fighter jets and initiated artillery exchanges along the Line of Control, leading to additional casualties on both sides. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the Indian strikes as acts of war and vowed to “avenge each drop of blood.

The international community, including the UN, US, UK, China, and Turkey, has urged both nations to exercise restraint and seek diplomatic solutions to prevent further escalation between the nuclear-armed neighbors.
