Digvijay Singh demanded that a fair investigation of this appointment should be conducted and if irregularity is found in the process, the appointment should be canceled.
Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has written a letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, questioning the appointment of Rani Durgavati University (RDVV), Jabalpur’s Kulguru (Vice Chancellor). He has termed this appointment as a ‘murder of educational morality’.
In his letter, Digvijay Singh alleged that the appointment made to the post of Vice-Chancellor is not only against the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), but it has also hurt the dignity of higher education. He wrote that the appointment of Vulra in universities should be from a transparent, qualification -based process, but the role of political pressure and bias in this case looks clear.
Digvijay Singh demanded that a fair investigation of this appointment should be conducted and if irregularity is found in the process, the appointment should be canceled. He said that it is necessary to keep universities free from political intervention so that the credibility and quality of the education system remains.
